Panduan untuk Shell Eco Marathon Kuala Lumpur

Just as the World Cup 2010 reaches its peak, so is the preparation for the Shell Eco-marathon Asia. Soon, the culmination of your hard work over the past few months and the sweat of overcoming the various challenges in building your vehicle will finally be put to test at Asia’s very first Shell Eco-marathon event. With the Vietnam team withdrawing at the eleventh hour, the challenge now lies with the remaining 82 teams from 10 countries. Which team will be crowned the first most efficient vehicle in Asia? How far of a distance will be recorded? We will see in just 3 days time…

7 July – Hari Pendaftaran


7 July is THE day. Kamu akan diperbolehkan untuk memasuki lintasan dan mendaftarakan anggota timmu. Untuk pergi ke lintasan, naiklah shuttle bus dari Concorde Inn atau Palm Garden Hotel. Bis pertama datang jam 8 pagi,bis berikutnya akan datang dalam selang waktu setengah jam untuk Concorde Inn dan setiap satu jam untuk Palm Garden. Setelah kamu sampai pada lintasan, pergilah ke Paddock Club 3 lantai satu.

Registration Process Tips
Untuk kemudahan dalam registrasi, ikuti tips berikut
• Bawa kartu pelajar (untuk orang M Alay)
• Bawa informasi penerbangan dan nomor kamar hotel yang diberikan teman tim mu.
• Jika kamu mempunyai lebih dari 8 anggota dalam satu tim yang membutuhkan akses ke pit, tolong bawalah bukti pembayaran, jika kamu belum membayar tolong bawalah uang tunai dalam satuan USD atau ringgit.
• beitahukan kepada petugas registrasi jika ada perubahan Maqnajer tau pengendara dalam tim. Penting bagimu untuk mendapatkan formulir Persetujuan untuk Mematuhi Peraturan yang baru.
• Tinggalkan nomor handphone mu dan nama timmu pada petugas registrasi. Kamu akan dihubungi jika registrasi timmu sudah selesai.

Other things you need to know/remember…



• A track tour will be conducted for all drivers on Wednesday, 7 July from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
• All drivers and team managers are required to attend the Mandatory Team Briefing at least once. Please refer to the schedule in the Participants Handbook.
• The track will only be open for Track Runs on Thursday, 8 July from 7:00am.
• The last shuttle from the Track to Concorde Inn and Palm Garden Hotel is at 10:00pm everyday. Please plan and manage your schedule accordingly.
• Should you require tid-bits in between meals, snacks can be purchased from Paddock Club 3 between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
• Shell Eco-marathon Flash Mob classed will take place on Wednesday, 7 July at 2:30pm and Friday, 9 July at 3:30pm at Paddock Club 2. All are invited to participate!
• Work safe. Keep your working place tidy to avoid untoward incidents.
• Please inform the race organisers should you fall ill with influenza symptoms.
• Your assigned Shell Ambassadors should always be your first point of contact for assistance and enquiries.
• The Paddock Clubs have free wifi facility if you wish to get connected. Or you can utilised the workstations available at the Lounge Area in Paddock Club 3.
• Please avoid Crocs and any open-to footwear especially when you are at the track and working at the pit.
• Dress code: smart casual, comfortable but nothing revealing please!

The polls are open and voting has started for the “People’s Choice” Award for teams competing in this year’s Shell Eco-marathon Asia. This is your opportunity to market your team and get your supporters to go online and vote for your team.
